Rules and guidelines
Please read this rules carefully, for it is important that they are to
be followed on the server. I was asked by many players why rules are
important, well the thing is that they should be a guideline for us ,something
to consider and make this world a bit more realistic and in the spirit
of the game (and of Warhammer of course.)
Races, or
the "Rule of Four"
We all know
the world of Warhammer, with it’s races and monsters. A grim world
full of perilous adventures where only the strong survives, or the one
with many friends and allies (but even they can turn on you). There are
five main playable races, these beeing:

Humans or Men are the most numerous of the races of the Old
World, and the Most sucessful. For this reason they are often reffered
to simply as Old Worlders. Humans look pretty much like ourselves, but
may be somewhat more rugged, living as they do in a more vigorous and
demanding area.
Elves
(or Half Elves) are rare wondrous people, living deep within the
forests of the Old World, and only rarely making an appearance within
human society. They look similar to humans, but are far more comely,
with perfect proportioned faces and laughing blue eyes.
Elves tend to be slender build, and somewhat fragile. Their ears may
be finely pointed and they live in harmony with nature. They are
fastidious, with refined sensibilities and love good music and food.
They find most humans brutish and repugnant. However they reserve the
greatest part of their contempt for Dwarfs, who they consider to be
vulgar and destructive.Although Elves are peaceful, they are fine
archers and fearless Warriors as their enemies can testify.

Dwarfs
are short, burly creatures, immediately recognisable by their long
hair and thick beards. They have a natural affinity with the mountains,
where they live in caverns and mines hewn from the rock. Dwarfs are
all expert stone-workers, and generally adept at all manner of
industrial crafts, such as iron working, the making of the fine swords
and the manufacture of supeerb jewellery. Some dwarfs live among humans
as metal-workers or craftsmen of some kind, and their work is highly
prized.
Phisically they are resilient, quite strong and rather ugly.
They are somewhat greedy, gruff, unfriendly and short-tempered and
antisocial. They tolerate humans because they have so many business
dealings with them, but dislike elves, who they find arrogant and
irritating, and with whom they have little in common.
Halflings
are small and slight of frame but with rather rotund features and pot
bellies. They are shorter than Dwarfs, so the two races are easily
told apart. Their hands and feet tend to be large and hairy, and they
prefer to go barefoot. They are not a very numerous people, living in
small secluded parts of the Old World (The Moot), protected by the
surrounding lands of Humans. Consequently, life for a young Halfling
is often very boring, and many seek adventure in the outside world.
They are nimble-fingered and stealthy by nature, so they make good
thieves. Halflings are extremely friendly and easy going, they enjoy
merry making and especially eating-and are usually the first to
suggest visiting a local inn or stopping for a break.
About Elven Subraces and
Gnomes
Elves have various subraces that can be choosen. Wood Elves, Sea Elves, High
Elves and Dark Elves.
You can choose freely to which of these subrace you belong.
Gnomes were a later addition to WFRP as a playable race(dating back to the
first Warhammer Compendium), and so they can be choosen as playable races as
well.

Level up on WARHAMMER -
TNA The TNA
server uses a unique level up system that helps us keep the world more
stable and more close to the Warhammer atmosphere.
New players can advance until´they reach level 5 with no problem (gain XP
from monsters, CNR use, and mainly for quest and role play).
The levels 1 to 5 are seen as the Basic Careers. It is just like in the Role
Play.
One can freely advance in his career until one decides to change in an
Advanced Career.
In order to advance to level 6(Advanced Career) a character will need a
level up from a DM. The level up status (or token) is kept on a special gem
in the character´s inventory and is logged as the number of charges the gem
has.
So if you have 5 charges on the gem, it means you can level up to level 5
with no need for a DM
In order to recieve a level up token, you will need to find a suitable
Mentor / Teacher just like in the Warhammer Roleplay who will then teach you
all you need to know, and give you different tasks you´ll have to
perform.(could be a quest for example)
The quests are run by DM's and upon its success you will recieve the token
for the level up.
Another option for a level up token, is a special DM quest in which you have
done great feats or deeds.

Magic Items and General
Items
Warhammer
Fantasy Roleplay is a low Magic Item enviroment.
We on TNA try to represent this.
There are really few magic items on the server, and those that exist, are
very praised and valuable. Most of them even have a name of their own.(Blade
of L´Anguille for example and they also have an history of their own.)
Then there are specially crafted items, either by players using the CNR
system or those created by NPC / DM's. Most of those items are not
considered to be "magical", they are custom made, specially crafted and have
a good quality through the use of fine materials.

Death and Permanent Death
The TNA
server has a unique death system in order to achive more of the Warhammer
world charm we all love. Please find the following guides for the death
system used on the server:
Each new character that starts on the server recieves a special item called
Fate Points Token. The token has a set amount of charges when you start
according to the Warhammer rules (Random fate points as for your race). That
would be:
Humans D3+1 Fate Points
Elves D3-1 Fate Points
Dwarfs D3 Fate Points
Halflings D4 Fate Points
When a level 1-5 character dies, he is automatically transferred to the
Gates of Morr´s realm, God of Death. There he can either wait for someone to
raise his fallen body which is left behind on the ground or ask the gaurdian
to return him to the world of the living.
It will cost you some experience points but that is all. No Fate Point is
lost.
When a higher level falls, he will also go to the Gates of Morr's Realm.
There, he will be able to either wait for help, or spend a Fate Point in
order to return to the world of the living.
If the character has no more Fate Points, he will be sent to Morr's Realm (not
the gates).
That means that the character is permanantly dead. If no one will
raise the character untill the body decays on the location of his death, the
player will need to make a new character.
As you see dying is a seriuos buisness in TNA, but the Warhammer universe is
a dark and grim place. Walk slowly, have friends who can help you and be
carefull.
The Rules in the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay state it just that way.
You can cheat death as many times as you have Fate Points.
Spending a Fate Point means to preserve a character´s life.
Fate Points are rarely given. In order to gain a Fate Point, a character
must do a heroic deed worth mentioning.
Fate Points are a giftt bestowed by the gods, one really has to do something
to impress them, so always remember they are earned on real-real rare
occasions.
